How do I know is my Blackberry Pearl 8110 is connected to the internet?

I have just purchased a blackberrry pearl and wanted to know how to tell whether or not I was connected to the internet as I haven’t paid for the Blackberry unlimited so I don’t want to be connected.

go to your browser ( the globe thing in your menu) and click it and if takes you to the home page then ya you do…. you should though cuz they wouldnt let me walk out the store unless i had it!
