How do I get rid of the block preventing me from updating our coupon print bar?

How do I get rid of the block preventing me from updating our coupon print bar?
I can no longer print my coupons (they’re legal). It says to update the coupon printer, which I tried. It said I needed to update my internet something. I chose to update internet explorer and it took about 20 min. I went back and I still it wouldn’t let me. It gives me an Avast virus warning or somthing like that. It’s not a virus. I’ve used it for over a year and now…can’t do anything. I want my coupons, can anyone help?

Forget the coupon bar. My best guess is that it’s spyware disquised as a “useful tool.”
